Feedback wanted on picnic!

As I said in the newsletter, there were some kinks that we’ll work on, but we would really like to know what our guests thought of the Grandfriends Picnic.

Some of the major reasons of going to a picnic were:

1) allow grandparents to avoid the stairs in the old building,

2) avoid overcrowding in classrooms that can be very hot when you get 30+ people in one room, and

3) to allow grandparents to see ALL of their grandchildren and not have to choose which class they go to (which usually means they miss something in another classroom and their other grandchild is disappointed).

Please let me know what you thought of the it.  Did you like it better than visiting the classrooms?  Do you have any suggestions for next year?

Grandfriend’s Day

Grandfriend’s Day will be held at Laurelville on Friday, September 19. It will be different this year. This year we are having a Grandfriend’s Picnic from 12-1:00. This will be much like the Parent Picnic that we have in the spring. Grandfriends are invited to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy eating their picnic with any and all of their grandchildren. At 1:00, they will go to the gym for a brief assembly. Students will then go back to class at 1:00. We are hoping that this will be easier for the Grandfriends, especially those with grandchildren in the old building. The steps are sometimes difficult for them, and the rooms can get very warm! Let’s all hope for a beautiful fall day to enjoy a picnic outside!

Parents Only!

Parents,

Please let me know what you think of the blog.  Do you check in on the blog?  If so, how often?   Does it supply you with useful information?  What would you like to see on the blog?  Is there any other information that I could provide to you through my classroom blog?  Thanks for your feedback!
