A Busy End to the Year!
The end of the school year is rapidly approaching! 🙂 Just thought I’d remind fifth graders (and parents) of all the activities coming up in the remaining 8 days of school:

And the Winner is….
EVERYONE at Laurelville Elementary! Friday afternoon, students and staff at Laurelville had an enjoyable time watching the 6th grade student team take on staff members in a basketball game. Staff members who played were: Mrs. Cartee, Miss Cookson, Mr. McGuire, Mr. Congrove, Mr. Dropsey, Mrs. Woods, and Mrs. Vanderpool. Even our principal Mrs. Scott joined the team! 😉
The 6th grade team consisted of: Hannah Caudill, Kasi Robinson, Kennedy Fox, Hadley Pritchard, Micah Linton, Eric Deluse, Cody Ebert, David Mathews, Josh Johnson, and Justin Glasspoole. These students have worked hard the last several weeks to “earn” their spot on this team!
Mrs. Walters and I coached the 6th grade team and Mrs. Griffey was the official scorekeeper (and what a fine job she did!) We were even entertained by the Pep Band-Mrs. Wolfe, Mrs. Stevenson, Mrs. Blubaugh, Ms. Snodgrass and Miss Bowlby, and 6th grade band members Hannah Hartzler, Heather Rutter, Bethany Kerens, Katie Hartley, Kate Ricketts, Cierra Drummond, Jacob Parker and Nash Crosby. Coach Stiverson (Logan Elm Boys Varsity Basketball coach) even made an appearance to talk to the students about the importance of team work. My husband, Mr. Caudill, was even recruited to be the official referree of the game!
What a fun time everyone had watching or participating in this game. Special thanks to Miss Cookson who organizes this event! 🙂
