You can tell that the end of school is near-the classrooms at Laurelville Elementary are getting warmer (88° today in my classroom) and students and teachers are getting restless!   The count down is on-8 days of school left!

This week in Math class, the students were introduced to the calculator that they will begin to use next year in the 6th grade.  On Monday, Miss Cookson did a great lesson to introduce the calculator.  The students also had the opportunity to practice using the calculator on some math skills that we worked on this year (adding/subtracting fractions and mixed numbers and order of operations).  We have also been working on multiplying decimals.

Remember, Monday is  Memorial Day-NO School!
