  •  Go Sledding :Have some hills at your house? Go sledding! If you don’t have anywhere to sled at your house to see if there are any places for tubing around you. Or visit a grandparents house where you could go sledding.

  • Have a snowball fight:Snowball fights are fun for people of all ages. You can even build a snow fort to hide behind!

  • Make a snow sculptor:You could build a snowman! Or a snow castle or even a dragon! This is fun for everyone, including adults. Who says you have to make a snowman, one of my friends parents once made a snow horse that we all took turns sitting on.

  • Build a snow fort:These can be great places to hang out in, away from the wind. Or just a shelter from flying snowballs.

  • Visit a local ice skating rink:If you live close to an ice skating rink I would suggest going. Ice skating is very fun whether you visit an indoor or outdoor rink.

Whether you get out of school for a snow day, or the windchill is to low you might rather spend your time indoors rather than out. Here are 6 fun ideas to try indoors on a snow day!

  •      Make snow ice cream:What’s better than homemade ice cream? Nothing, that’s what. Snow ice cream is an easy to make ice cream that’s made from ( you guessed it) snow, and tastes delicious!

  • Play card and board games:Speed, Clue, Life, Monopoly, Mastermind. Those are just a few fun games that you could play to bid time on snow days.

  • Read or write:What’s better than catching up on reading on a cold day? If you have an AR goal, reading on a snow day is a good way to accumulate AR points so you won’t have to worry about how many points you have later.Writing can also be a good way to get your creativity going on a lazy day.

  • Watch Netflix or other movies:Watching movies is a cozy way to stay warm indoors. You could catch up on a series you are watching on Netflix or Hulu, or just watch a movie.

  • Make a hot beverage:Hot chocolate, tea or any other warm drink is a great way to warm up after playing in the snow!

  • Bake:Whether it’s cookies, brownies, cake pops or another desert, baking is a fun way to spend a cold day.

While it’s snowing outside, there is fun to be had both indoors and out! Whether you enjoy playing in the snow or would rather drink hot chocolate indoors reading, there’s always fun to be had. If you have any other fun activities you like to do on snowy days, please let me know in the comments!
