Leaders of the Math Fact Challenge

We started a Math Fact Challenge at the end of November.  The challenge is that ALL fifth graders (100%) will master their multiplication facts by the end of the year.  We started with taking a timed test on 2’s, then 3’s, and so on.  Yesterday the students took the 7’s test.  Not as many passed this one (they are getting harder), but students will have another oportunity to pass any test that they have not yet passed.

However, there are some fifth graders who have passed ALL tests so far.  Congratulations to:

5A:  Hannah Caudill, Justin Glasspoole, Madison Haupt, Hadley Pritchard, and Kate Ricketts.

5B:  Jacob Allison, Noah Bennington, Brandon Cradlebaugh, Hannah Hopkins, Ian Lear and Dalton Phillips.

5C:  Kaytlynn Banks, Nash Crosby, Eric Deluse, Cierra Drummond, Kaylee McNichols, Justin Payne, Kasi Robinson, and Heather Rutter.

There are many, also, who have passed all but one test:

5A:  Nathan Neiberline, Joey Poling

5B:  Karly Hart, Ashleigh Martin, Kevin Senters

5C:  Jimmy Campbell, Bethanie Evans, Katie Hartley, Hannah Hartzler, Bethany Kerens

Keep up the good work!   Remember, we’ll take the test on 8’s next Tuesday (Feb. 10)

As for today, I gave students an opportunity to practice their facts on the computer, talked about all of the neat technology that I saw yesterday, and finished completing the study guide for the test coming on Friday (except 5B-we ran out of time due to the delay).
